THE PANAMA HOTEL

During the last week of March, 2017, I had the pleasure and experience of staying at The Panama Hotel in the International District of Seattle.  The Panama is definitely an 'experience', and not your ordinary hotel.  It was built in 1910 by Sabro Ozasa, the first Japanese-American architect in Seattle.  Located on the corner of 6th and South Main, it was the hotel featured in Jamie Ford's historical novel, 'Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet.'  In the basement is the last remaining Japanese Bathhouse or 'Sento' in the country.
